There are two Poetry and Bereavement Support Group workshops in November at Mary of God Parish in Bradford, part of the Pastoral Worker for Older People project activity, facilitated by Pastoral Worker & published poet, Frances Norton.
In this workshop, we will think about & talk together about & write poems about what and whom we have lost.
We will read poems about grief and loss and respond to visual and creative writing prompts such as ‘What does grief teach us about our own humanity about our identity as Catholics? and ‘How can we work with poetry to express our grief journey?.
The two workshops are:
Tuesday 17 November – 10am–12pm at St. Johns Hall, Cooper Lane, BD6 3NS
Saturday 21 November – 10am–12pm at St. Winefride’s Hall, St. Pauls Avenue, BD6 1ST
Note books and pens will be provided, with a suggested £2 donation, for those who can afford this.
Whilst these events are focused on people living in Mary Mother of God Parish, other people are invited, through Growing Old Grace-fully.
