Growing Old Grace-fully Carers Project are hosting an in-person event, “Awakening Peace Within: A Day of reflection for Carers” on Saturday 14th November 10.00am – 2.00pm in St Joseph’s Parish Hall, Wetherby.
This event will be led by Carers Project Co-ordinator Michelle Anderson and Paula Shanks, who is a carer and an Ignatian spiritual accompanier.
The session will offer carers the opportunity to reflect on God’s presence in their daily lives and how they can find peace within themselves. They will share a little of what ‘Awakening Peace Within’ means to them and how we sense God’s invitation to be at peace and in peace as people who care for others. They will invite you to explore the peace on offer in the “ordinary” of your life and how noticing this can awaken a deeper sense of God’s peace within.
The morning will also offer a gentle space for personal reflection, meditation and community. The event will end with a shared lunch over which we can continue the conversations from the day.
